JetEngine is a plugin that allows you to create dynamic content. It’s designed specifically for Elementor. In other words, you need to have Elementor installed and activated on your WordPress site in order to be able to use JetEngine. Although not intended specifically to be an Elementor Pro alternative, you can use JetEngine as an Elementor Pro alternative whereby you can add dynamic content on Elementor Free. You can create the dynamic content on the JetEngine dashboard then display it on the Elementor editor via the provided widgets. Instead of one, JetEngine allows you to create several dynamic content types. First, you can use it to create custom fields. Second, you can also use JetEngine to create a custom post type. In addition, you can also use JetEngine to create a listing item template, custom taxonomy, custom form, and so on.
Here are the content types you can create with JetEngine:
- Custom fields
- Custom post type
- Custom form
- Listing template
- Dynamic calendar
- Dynamic gallery
- Dynamic map
JetEngine Main Functionalities
JetEngine is a versatile plugin. As said above, there are several content types you can create with the plugin. But by default, JetEngine only allows you to create custom fields, custom post types, custom taxonomies, and listing item template. To create other content types like form, gallery, and calendar, you need to enable the modules first. The modules are built-in. No need to install any additional plugin. You can enable them from the JetEngine settings page inside the WordPress dashboard. When creating custom fields with JetEngine, you can add the following field types:
- Text
- Date
- Time
- Datetime
- Text Area
- WYSIWYG Editor
- Switcher
- Checkbox
- Icon Picker
- Media
- Gallery
- Radio
- Repeater
- Select
- Number
- Color Picker
- Posts
- HTML
You can assign the custom fields to an existing post type (e.g. blog posts), custom post type, taxonomy, and user. After installing and activating JetEngine, you will get the following widgets on the Elementor editor:
- Dynamic Field
- Dynamic Image
- Dynamic Link
- Dynamic Meta
- Dynamic Repeater
- Dynamic Terms
- Listing Grid
After enabling the modules, say the Forms module and Map Listings modules, you will get additional widgets you can use to display the content you created.
JetEngine Modules
To enable a certain module, you can go to JetEngine -> JetEngine on your WordPress dashboard. You can see a list of available modules on the Modules tab. You can simply toggle each module to use it. Here are the modules offered by JetEngine:

With those modules, JetEngine can be a great solution to save money if you need to create a complex site that needs some advanced components like forms, listing page, dynamic maps, dynamic calendar, to image gallery. You can, for instance, create a property listing site by taking advantage of the Listing feature. When creating a property listing site (or other website types that require location), you can even add dynamic maps thanks to the Maps Listings module.
While for the Forms module, you can use it to create a custom form. There are 18 field types supported by the module, with 11 form actions you can set, including Register New User which you can use to create a user registration form.
